Million Marijuana March

Presented by.... the AUSTRALIAN CANNABIS LAW REFORM MOVEMENT

The 4th of May 2002 is the day when millions of Cannabis Commandos in hundreds of cities and towns all over the world WILL rise up from their POT holes and march proudly into battle to End the War on Drug Users and, hopefully, when the battle is joined, the 3 pronged spear of Cannabis Law Reform - Medicinal Cannabis - Industrial Hemp - Human Rights will be able to pierce the rusty armour of the prohibitionists.

Last year, the Nimbin MMMMarch had the biggest roll-up on earth and  this year, like last year and the year before that, we will once again be webcasting our event LIVE for all the wwworld to see from the Big Bong Mobile which will be parked out side the H.E.M.P Bar / HEMP Embassy complex- right in the centre of the vortex that is the Mardi Grass  Protestival in Nimbin Australia at precisely 4.20 P.M.

It is as impossible to guesstimate the size of the roll up for the 2002 Nimbin MMMMarch as it is to guesstimate the total inhalance of cannabis  during the Protestival, but every number I have heard so far is in excess of 4 and 20 thousand cannabists! As usual in Nimbin, we din't march in a straight line, in fact, truth be told, we din't actually march at all, not much point even trying really, I mean even attempting to marshal the entire MardiGrass crowd to march from point A - via point B -to point C would be harder than herding 420 black cats at midnight and so, we decided to ask the entire crowd (via the loud speakers) to take one step forward, then three steps back, two steps forward and then one step back (a little semi-dance step thing we call the 'real pace' of cannabis law reform) which of course resulted in as much confusion as marshalling a march or changing an illogical law, point is that thousands upon thousands of people come together every year in Nimbin for exactly the same reason.... To call for an End to Cannabis Prohibition.

Webgreetings webTV User, unfortunately U can't see the webshow, and whilst I believe we should be fixing the problem, not fixing the blame, the simple truth is that webTV can't receive the web cam images yet, let's both hope the dudes at Web TV manage to catch up to the rest of the wwworld real soon ;O)--~

The Australian Cannabis Law Reform Movement is calling for an IMMEDIATE cease fire in the War on Drugs - STOP THE ARRESTS - until such time as a referendum can determine whether the government possesses a clear mandate from the people to re-impose prohibition.
